Båstadgruppen acquires Guardio Safety
Båstadgruppen AB has acquired Guardio Safety AB, which owns and distributes helmets and earmuffs for professional use. The acquisition is a valuable addition to Båstadgruppen's existing offering in workwear, footwear and gloves and will further strengthen the group's position as a leading supplier to the industrial and construction trade.
Båstadgruppen started in 1907 with the production of wooden slippers. Today, the company is one of the Nordic region's leading suppliers of workwear, shoes and gloves. The company's customers are retailers in the industrial and construction trade as well as the profile and event industry throughout Europe. In 2019, Båstadgruppen was acquired by Storskogen, and since then the group has made several acquisitions, of Sandryds (South West, Smila), Top Swede and Matterhorn. The acquisition of Guardio Safety further broadens Båstadgruppen's offering.
Guardio Safety owns and distributes helmets for professional use with a unique integrated MIPS system and earmuffs with integrated functions. The company has four employees and headquarters in Huddinge, Stockholm. The company's products are currently sold in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Switzerland. Nawar Toma, CEO of Guardio Safety, and other staff will remain with the company after the acquisition.

The acquisition of Guardio Safety was completed on May 10, 2023.
